Belgrade, good morning!
This morning, like many others, dear listeners, you listen while we observe you from above--from the 23rd floor of the "Beograd" skyscraper. What we can see from here--not bad.
Above our fine city is again an expansive blue sky.
The Danube is overflowing, while the Sava continues topping it up. Meanwhile, we hope the excess water will drain towards Djerdapa* where water is turned into electricity.
On Gavrila Principa street a yellow bulldozer has been active since early this morning in addition to a small but hardworking chimney on Sarajevskoj.
We’re not sure whether that large residential building in fact produces anything other than smoke.
The stadiums of the Crvene Zvezde* and Yugoslovenian national army are empty. Luckily, in this dramatic transitional period, they stayed put. On the marshalling tracks of the railway station waits an arrangement full of new yellow, green, and blue cars.
They must be insulted that they are still being transported, instead of being allowed to go on their own. They're not little anymore.
All in all, our Belgrade looks great again this morning. Congratulations to Belgrade.
Belgrade-dwellers, good morning!
