Wednesday July 16th, 1975

Half an hour ago, the shadow of the "Beograd " skyscraper, from which we are broadcasting, was over three hundred meters long. It had taken off towards the green and glass tower on the corner of Nemanjine and Sarajevske. But nothing came of it!

In this clear and blue Belgrade sky the sun is already high, and getting higher. This Wednesday in July, Belgrade will wear quite short or nonexistent shadows.

Who wanted summer today will have it, and those who didn't want it, even more.

Also, there, a chimney is saying hello from the brewery above Mostara*.

Belom zastavom pare i dima maše i javno kupatilo u Mišarskoj ulici! I oni nude pomoć

The water in the Sava was changed last night, it came from Sabac, where it is replaced by the Drina*. The Danube is also lower but cleaner than yesterday.

In the restaurant London, crates stacked  with bottles have reached the roof itself. So don't despair, on hot things put cold and everything will be alright!

Belgrade has withstood a variety of fires and heat waves, as it will this healthy July day.

*Drina is an international river that forms most of the boundary between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. It feeds into the mouth of the Sava. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drina
